Nominate Yourself for a Board Position for 2019

Please consider nominating yourself, or other SAVRA members, for open positions on the Board of Directors. You can do that by emailing a letter of application to Vice President Keith Ward at sandkward@comcast.net. Or, nominations will be taken from the floor at SAVRA General Membership meetings Oct. 21 and 28. An electronic ballot will be emailed to each member Oct. 29. Voting concludes Nov. 3. Newly elected board members will be announced at our final meeting Nov. 4. The following positions (and members whose terms have expired) follow:

Every year our members vote for outstanding SAVRA officials to be honored at our annual banquet. Voting will take place electronically. Awards include:

Board Selects Five Officials for State Tourney Assignments

Three More Meetings, Training Sessions this Fall

A Reminder: We have three general membership meetings remaining this season, and three more training sessions to improve our basic, high school and college proficiency. Training continues in the classroom this Sunday, 5-6 p.m. with the Basic group in Jepson 017, HS in 014, and College in 120. General meeting at 6 p.m. in Jepson 017. Other remaining dates are Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.
 

Catch Men's College VB Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the HUB

SAVRA is providing officials for a men's collegiate club volleyball match, GU vs. EWU, this Sunday at the HUB. First serve at 2: 30 p.m. There's not much men's VB play in this area, so check it out before the SAVRA training/meeting.

Banquet Set Nov. 19 at Timbercreek Grill


Ron Walker has organized a wonderful banquet for SAVRA members and their guests at Timbercreek Grill in the Argonne Shopping Center at Argonne and Montgomery, on Monday, Nov. 19. First serve is at 6 p.m. Members’ meals are picked up by SAVRA as a thank you for your services. Members pay $10.99 plus tax for guests. Arrangements may be made to take any dinner expense out of an upcoming check. Work with Phil Robinson. A signup sheet will be distributed at our upcoming meetings.
